Hi! My name is Delam,
and this is how I became a music freak.
It all started at a young age listening to my father’s old R&B, Jazz, and Opera records but it got serious in the late 90´s when I first listen to Dancehall, Reggae, Reggaetón, Merengue, Bachata and Salsa (I grew up with the kids of the first generation of Latino immigrants in Spain) but it was the Jamaican music what really catched me.
Over the years I immersed myself deep into the different styles of Jamaican music ( Dancehall, Reggae, Dub, Ska, Rocksteady, Mento, Kumina…) to have a good understanding of how music was created.
I have read history books, Music Magazines, Wikipedia articles, Expert Blogs, interviews, watched all documentaries and operate with all the materials I could access to learn about Jamaican history, politic, language, music and other cultural aspects.
Now is over twenty years since I started to dive into Jamaican music and culture and the more I learn about it the more I love it ( Big Up Jamaica all the time ).
In the last years destiny brought me to live in the UK for a short while.

My South London friends introduced me to Grime, UK drill, Garage, Afro Bashment, UK house and other nice stuff that contributed to my addiction to music.
The first contact I had with Jamaican people in a community was when I moved to Brixton (one of the largest Jamaican communities in the UK) where I was expose to Jamaican music and culture everyday. Experiencing the music in the right environment made me understand that I could not longer postpone a trip to Jamaica.
In my several trips to Jamaica I was luckily enough to learn from artist, dancers, producers, musicians and other relevant people working in the entertainment business.

Forward to 2021 is almost a decade since I started my music career. Now I am living in Leipzig, Germany where I work as a Professional DJ, Event Manager and Radio Host with regular bookings in other German and European cities.

In the past years as the music boundaries became narrow I got more involved with other music styles and started to play in mainstream clubs where I bring the mix of the Dancehall and Reggaeton sounds with Hip Hop, R&B, Afrobeats, Moombaton, Bubbling and other modern sounds.
In 2018 I started a Event series called KXNGSTXN, a music night focused on the new sounds of Dancehall and other Caribbean Sounds in my town and it was very welcomed by the public.
Last year the pandemic stopped the music business world wide and since we couldn’t go to the club I decided I had to keep the vibes going and I started THE VIBESTREAM a monthly radio show streamed on FM and online.
